FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
