Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
