The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
