The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete maintains substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known supporters when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and often plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to play and have fun," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to play, relax, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, specifically among younger fans.
Kai boasts substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive clothing and lifestyle company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
